James Reimer made 29 saves for the San Jose Sharks in a 2-0 win against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center in Chicago on Sunday.
Timo Meier scored twice, and Logan Couture had two assists for the Sharks (11-9-1), who started a five-game road trip.
Marc-Andre Fleury made 20 saves for the Blackhawks (7-12-2), who have lost three of five.
Meier made it 1-0 at 13: 39 of the second period. Couture made a no-look pass between his legs to Rudolfs Balcers, whose shot from the slot was redirected by Meier near the crease.
Chicago outshot San Jose 11-4 in the first period.
Reimer preserved the shutout with a glove save against Jake McCabe in the final minute of the second period and nine saves in the third.
Meier scored an empty-net goal with 1: 31 remaining for the 2-0 final.
The Sharks blocked 32 shots, led by Ferraro (seven).
Chicago was 0-for-2 on the power play and is 0-for-13 over its past six games.
